T-Mobile CEO: ‘We have outpaced the competition’

T-Mobile CEO John Legere is not one to mince words on Twitter.

The CEO on Thursday was boasting about blowing past the competition with a record number of new customers last quarter.

In typical Legere fashion, the tweets were more colorful than the yawn-inducing tweets of most CEOs.

“We have outpaced the competition AGAIN — 12 times over! I sh*t you not!” Legere tweeted with a link to the results.

“I don’t have anger issues, but I had a lot of fun hitting the crap out of that @ATT piñata #sorrynotsorry,” he tweeted later in the day.

The phone carrier added a record 2.4 million subscribers in the quarter ended in March — more than AT&T and Verizon combined in the same period. The stock shot up 8 percent, to $31.65.

T-Mobile lost $151 million, or 19 cents a share, compared to a profit of 20 cents a share a year earlier. Revenue grew by 47 percent to $6.88 billion, but Wall Street wanted revenue of $6.92 billion.
