NYC’s extra-large condoms could cramp average guys’ style

Big news — the city will soon start giving out new NYC-brand condoms in “extra large.”

The free “KYNG” condoms come lubed-up and wrapped in a gold package, the Health Department announced on Friday.

But the roomy rubbers, which cost the city about a dollar each, could cramp an “average” guy’s style — especially when picking up a normal-sized condom in front of a hot girl, Big Apple singles said.

“When a guy is standing there with a chick right next to him, of course he is going to pick the bigger one, otherwise she might say, ‘Oh, I’ve got something else to do,’” said Mario Julien, 27, of the Lower East Side.

“If my girl saw me with [the smaller one], she’d say, ‘What are you doing?’ ” he added, sipping a drink at Double Down Saloon in the East Village.

The city distributes 38 million NYC-brand condoms per year to New Yorkers at shops, bars and community centers in an effort to combat HIV and AIDS.

On Friday, which was national condom awareness day, the city also announced plans to snazz-up its classic NYC condom with a new blue package.

Both sizes of new condoms will become available this summer.

“I’ll just grab one of each and hope for the best,” said Kelly Vinson, 31, of the East Village.
