Dad shot to death in Queens bar fight

A construction worker and volunteer football coach was shot and killed during an argument in a Queens bar early Saturday.

Timothy Tripp, 35 — who coached for the Jamaica Bulldogs children’s league and was dad to an 11-year-old daughter — was struck in the head and chest when a fight broke out at the Edge Bar and Lounge on Merrick Boulevard in St. Albans.

“They always take the kind ones,” said his anguished fiancée, Vanessa McKinley, 41.

Cops were investigating whether Tripp, who had a previous gun-possession rap, was involved or just a bystander.
