Lady Sif joins up with ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’

TV for the kid in each of us who refuse to grow up…

“Once Upon a Time” (Sunday, 8 p.m., ABC): The cross-pollinating fairy tale returns for the second half of its season with yet another “Lost” alum: Rebecca Mader (she was Charlotte) begins her stint as the Wicked Witch of the West. It looks like the broom rider will land here as Regina’s (Lana Parrilla) new nemesis, now that former foe Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) seemingly sacrificed himself to save the rest of the gang. But the not-so-Evil Queen cast a reset curse, so fictional characters are dropped back into magic land and amnesiacs Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) end up in New York. Mama would normally recommend that a woman ignore a random stranger who tried to convince her that she was a storybook character, but if Colin O’Donoghue’s roguish Hook was the person sharing this wacky tale, she’d be OK with following him. Confused? The very helpful hour-long recap/preview episode airs an hour earlier.

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” (Tuesday, 8 p.m., ABC): Jaimie Alexander dusts off the old armor to reprise her role from the superhero flick “Thor” when Lady Sif arrives just in time to save Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team of specialists, who undoubtedly have gotten themselves into a pickle involving the imminent destruction of the world.

“The Simpsons” (Sunday, 7:30 p.m., Fox): Get your Hogwarts fix when Daniel Radcliffe, aka Harry Potter, lends his voice to an episode of the animated comedy that’s old enough to rent a car. He plays a transfer student who rescues Bart from some bullies at school.

“Black Sails” (Saturday, 9 p.m., STARZ): Sail the final voyage with this gritty pirate series’ first season. If you haven’t bothered yet with the re-imagined adventures of John Silver (Luke Arnold) — who apparently won’t earn the “Long” until he learns to fry a hush puppy — you can catch up with a marathon of the first season, which starts Saturday at 2 p.m.

“Dora the Explorer” (Monday, 7 p.m., Nickelodeon): And for the actual children, schedule a date with the little explorer and her new special, “Dora in Wonderland.” In her leap through the looking glass, Dora encounters a celebrity-voiced cast of characters including Mel Brooks as the Mad Hatter, Alan Cumming as the White Rabbit, Jewel as the Cheshire Cat and Sara Ramirez (“Grey’s Anatomy”) as the Queen of Hearts.
