Manhattan

A man followed a woman into her East Village apartment and burglarized it, cops said.

The suspect snuck into the apartment on Avenue C as the 29–year-old woman entered around 7 p.m. on Jan. 10, police said.

He snatched a laptop, a cellphone and credit cards, according to cops.

Cops are still searching for the suspect, who was captured on video surveillance in the building.


The Bronx

A passenger punched an MTA bus driver in the face after boarding in Fairmont, cops said.

The 53-year-old driver of the BX36 bus stopped to pick up riders at the corner of Bryant Avenue and East 174th Street at about 8 p.m. on Jan. 13.

As a mother and child tried to get on the bus, the driver accidentally closed the door on them, sparking an argument with another person who was trying to board, police sources said.

The suspect socked the driver in the face and fled, according to cops.

The mother and child were not harmed, and the driver suffered minor injuries, police said.


A 32-year-old man who stabbed his roommate to death in their Fleetwood apartment has been arrested, police said.

The victim, Leonardo Garcia, 29, was found inside the Grant Avenue pad near East 167th Street at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday with a stab wound to the chest, cops added.

He was rushed to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Garcia’s roommate, Pedro Torres, 32, was apprehended and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

It wasn’t immediately clear what sparked the deadly dispute.

Torres has one prior arrest for an open container in 2003, law-enforcement sources said.

Garcia also was arrested once, for assault, in 2007, sources added.


A burglar stole from two Kingsbridge apartments in less than a week, police said.

The suspect pried open a lock inside a Bailey Avenue building around 3:30 p.m. Jan. 16 and took jewelry, cash and Apple electronics, police said.

Six days later, around the same time in the afternoon, he broke into a second apartment within walking distance of the first he burglarized and made off with similar items, according to police.

The suspect is believed to be in his 40s, about 5-foot-9 and with a medium build.

During both burglaries, he wore the same black hat, black sneakers and black and gray jacket with a white stripe, cops said.


Cops are looking for another burglar who broke into two homes in Kingsbridge.

The intruder got into both homes through the front door, police said.

The first time, the suspect broke into a Morris Avenue apartment around 11:10 a.m. last Nov. 4 but fled empty-handed, according to police.

Then, he entered an apartment on the Grand Concourse around 1 p.m. on Nov. 14, snatched a laptop and fled, cops said.

The suspect was caught on video in the first burglary wearing a backwards blue cap, a light-colored sweatshirt and a dark shirt.


Brooklyn

A deli worker was robbed at gunpoint in Kensington, cops said.

The gun-toting suspect (above) entered Yung Market on Nostrand Avenue near Flatbush Avenue around 4:10 a.m. Monday and demanded cash from the 28-year-old worker at the register, cops said.

The suspect fled with an unknown amount of cash. The victim was not injured, authorities said.
