De Blasio family treats NYC’s first lady on Mother’s Day

Mayor de Blasio took to Twitter to wish wife Chirlane a Happy Mother’s Day on Sunday with a photo of him and a little Chiara and infant Dante looking adorable from back in the day.

Before going out for brunch, de Blasio tweeted out a picture of him with Chiara, then age 3, sitting on dad’s lap and holding her day-old, pre-‘fro baby brother Dante in 1997.
“From the three of us: Happy Mother’s Day, @Chirlane,” the tweet said.
And Chirlane tweeted her own Mother’s Day picture of the clan apparently enjoying brunch at an outdoor café.
It’s been a big week for the de Blasio’s.
Chiara was back in town during a break from her California college. She traveled with her parents to Maryland on Tuesday, where the 19-year-old gave a speech about her struggles with depression and substance abuse. She stuck around to help the mayor celebrate his 53rd birthday on Thursday with a big bash at Gracie mansion (Friday night).
On Wednesday, de Blasio and McCray will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.
They were married on May 14, 1994, in Prospect Park by two gay ministers.
They started a family right way; Chirlane was 3 months pregnant with Chiara when they were married.
Both kids were born in Methodist Hospital in Park Slope, down the street from where the family still lives.
The Mayor hasn’t said when they are moving to Gracie, only that they are “working on it.”
