Randolph-Macon College has two congressional candidates

WASHINGTON — It’s got just 93 full-time professors and 1,312 students — but tiny Randolph-Macon College now also has two congressional candidates.

David Brat, an economics professor, will face Jack Trammell, a sociology professor from the same liberal-arts school, for defeated Majority Leader Eric Cantor’s seat after Brat’s stunning upset in Tuesday’s GOP primary.

Trammell has published poetry, history, and is working on a vampire novel, according to his author profile on Amazon.com.

According to anonymous comments on the site “Rate My Professors,” each academic has something to offer.

“He’s so charming and really knows how to incorporate real world examples to keep the class exciting and relatable,” wrote one Brat student. “Plus he’s total eye candy!!”

“BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!!” wrote one student of Trammell’s. “Unclear, rambles,” wrote another.
