Cops searching for rapist after woman attacked in Queens

Police are searching for a sexual predator who raped a woman Tuesday night in Queens, cops said.

The 32-year-old victim was walking home on 46th Avenue near Junction Boulevard in Corona when the suspect approached her from behind about 11:50 p.m., according to police.

He told her to “keep walking” until she got to the corner, at which point he sprayed her in the face with an unknown substance, police said.

He raped her as she tried to fight him off, and she was able to bite him before he fled, cops said.

The culprit is believed to be in his 30s, 5-foot-6 and has a ponytail.

The victim was treated at Elmhurst Hospital and later released.
