Cops find medley of drugs and guns in man’s home after arrest

A dim-witted criminal who had just been busted for drugs was hit with extra charges when he asked cops to tell his girlfriend his was headed to jail and officers spotted weapons at their home, sources said.

Shane Rodriguez, 24, had asked officers arresting him for marijuana possession outside his apartment building at 4 a.m. Saturday to do him a favor and go up to his pad and tell his gal pal that he won’t be coming home, according to sources.

When Rodriguez’s girlfriend answered the door at the 268 Marion Street apartment, cops observed a hand gun in plain sight on a table inside.

Police obtained a search warrant for the pad and discovered 5 handguns, ammunition, cocaine and more marijuana, sources said.

Rodriguez, who has 14 prior arrests, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon, according to sources.
