The Yankees-Cubs game scheduled for Tuesday night has been postponed and will be made up Wednesday at 1:05 p.m. as part of a day-night doubleheader in The Bronx.
Masahiro Tanaka had been scheduled to make his second Yankee Stadium start Tuesday. He will start Game 1 of thw twinbill and Michael Pineda gets the ball for Game 2.
Also postponed was the event honoring Nelson Mandela and Jackie Robinson. A press conference will be held Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. and a ceremony will take place prior to the regularly scheduled game at 7:05 p.m.
Tickets for Tuesday’s game can be used for Wednesday’s day game or exchanged for any other regular-season game at Yankee Stadium in the next 12 months, subject to availability.
