Thunder teammates: Fisher has the right stuff

OKLAHOMA CITY — One by one, the Thunder players lauded the leadership and coaching potential of Derek Fisher during the team’s Breakup Day. Even temperamental Russell Westbrook loves The Fish.

It was a sweet send-off for the potential next coach of the Knicks, whose 18-year NBA playing career likely ended Saturday night.

“Derek is like an older brother to me since I’ve been here,’’ Westbrook said. “He did a great job of always showing me the right path regardless of what may be going on. He always tries to tell you what’s right. It may not be what you want to hear all the time, but what’s right is what’s right. He’s done a great job of helping me out in becoming a better player, person and professional as well.

“I talk to Derek every day. I’m always picking his brain. He’s done so much in this game. He won championships, knows what it takes. Each and every day I find some little thing to prolong my career and have a great career like he had.’’

Nick Collison said Fisher should “run for office’’ one day and Kevin Durant reiterated what he told The Post last week, calling Fisher a “great leader, great communicator.’’ Durant, a free agent in 2016 when the Knicks could have cap space if they strike out in 2015, added, “It was a joy and honor to play with a guy like that.’’
