The new joint-venture owners of 650 Madison Ave. said they were aiming for office leases above $150 a square foot — and they’re getting it.
Sources in the brokerage world are saying that they’ve signed three tenants at those lofty prices for 100,000 square feet over the past few months, leaving about only 50,000 available in the 600,000 square-footer.
However, JLL’s Mitchell Konsker, who is the building’s agent, declined to confirm any of the deals, or to comment at all.
Nevertheless, we’re told by others that they include a roughly 25,000 square-foot lease for one of Michael Bloomberg’s private charitable foundations, as well as a deal for Zeckendorf Development, which is building a tower next door.
