Nets’ Teletovic not afraid to troll LeBron James

Count Mirza Teletovic among those who do not worship at the throne of King James.

Teletovic, a second-year Nets forward from Bosnia, cuffed LeBron James around the neck on a fast-break attempt during Friday night’s game in Brooklyn against the Heat, and was assessed a flagrant-1 foul.

James took exception to the foul, moving towards Teletovic, who backed away with a smile on his face and his hands in the air as if to say, “I didn’t do anything!” Players and referees got between the two before the incident escalated.

After the game — which the Nets won in double overtime — Teletovic trolled James and the Heat with a tweet that winked, emoticon-style, at his skirmish with the four-time MVP.

Teletovic wasn’t done, however, upping the trolling ante by changing his Twitter background to that same image.

With Friday’s win, the Nets are now 2-0 against the Heat this season after going 0-3 in 2012-13. The teams are slated to meet twice more this season, both in Miami, on March 12 and April 8.

Two more meetings for James and his unlikely new antagonist: Teletovic.
