Nature is full of surprises. Take, for example, this orchid that looks just like Daffy Duck.
While the colors may not be a complete match, the flower’s shape fits that of the famed “Looney Tunes” character, leading some to call it the Flying Duck orchid.
The photo of the flower was snapped by Scottish photographer Bill Higham while he was in Tasmania recently.
The orchid isn’t the only one that resembles an animal, there are species, among tens of thousands world wide, that resemble monkeys, birds and bumble bees.
While they may not see a Flying Duck, anyone interested in flowers should check out the Brooklyn Botanical Garden’s Orchid Show, which runs through April 21.
