Jessica Simpson’s reality show to be ‘retooled’ after low ratings: report

The cable reality show staring American singer and actress Jessica Simpson is being “retooled” in preparation for its second season after posting disappointing ratings, Us Weekly reported Wednesday.

VH1’s ‘The Price of Beauty,” which highlights beauty practices across the globe, barely attracted one million viewers for its March premiere.

Simpson, 29, called the show her life’s calling. “It’s similar to missionary work. It was what I was called to do and called to be,” Simpson said in May.

VH1 maintained that they are committed to the project.

“We are here to stay with Jessica and are committed to this journey and this message with her about women, self image…all through Jessica’s totally unique and unfiltered lens,” VH1 said in a statement.
