Cashman ‘stalker’ bond release delayed

A last-minute paperwork snag has delayed Independence Day for the alleged shake-down mistress of Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman — at least until tomorrow.

Buxom blonde Brit Louise Meanwell was set to walk out of Manhattan Supreme Court later today sporting her new ankle bracelet — and with a bail bondsman, the DA’s Office and a judge all in approval of $300,000 in collateral being offered by Meanwell’s mother, Caroline Meanwell.

But an open Rensselaer County aggravated harassment case, filed against Meanwell by her ex-husband, Jason Bump, stalled the proceedings when city correction officials were unsatisfied with the paperwork prosecutors produced to show that charge was actually covered under Meanwell’s current Manhattan 52-count serial stalking indictment, and had been dropped.

“It looks like it was not properly entered into the system, so they are not going to release her,” Meanwell’s lawyer, Lawrence LaBrew, explained.

The parties are due back in court tomorrow morning to hash out the snafu.
