All that was missing was Tim Tebow.
The two biggest NFL offseason stories in recent memory, Michael Sam and Johnny Manziel, collided quite literally Saturday night.
Sam, attempting to become the NFL’s first openly gay active player, sacked Cleveland’s Johnny Football, the league’s newest headline machine, and punctuated the takedown by flashing Manziel’s patented “show me the money” finger pinch.
Sam would add another sack of Manziel before the night ended, though no Manziel mocks followed the second.
“If you’re going to sack Johnny, you’ve got to do that once,” Sam told reporters after the 33-14 Rams win.
