21 Crumbs stores have no chance of reopening

Crumbs Bake Shop has identified 21 stores that will not be coming back — regardless of who assumes ownership of the bankrupt cupcake chain.

“Those were the most unprofitable,” Michael Sirota, a bankruptcy attorney for Crumbs, told The Post. “We rejected their leases, and the judge approved their rejection.”

It means a maximum of 27 current stores will reopen under a new owner — whether it’s front-runner Marcus Lemonis or another buyer — when the shop emerges from Chapter 11 as early as next month.

Crumbs had been operating 48 stores in 10 states before unexpectedly shuttering all of them on July 7 and filing for bankruptcy on July 11.

The only New York casualty was the Crumbs at the Palisades Center in West Nyack.

New Jersey was hit the hardest, with six closings, and then Massachusetts, with four.
