Actors co-hosting swank fund-raiser for B’klyn DA candidate

The actor famous for playing “Mr. Big” on “Sex and the City” is co-hosting a swanky fund-raiser for a Brooklyn District Attorney candidate at his Manhattan club tonight.

Chris Noth, 58, who has recently returned to TV as a fallen state’s attorney on “The Good Wife,” has endorsed former Manhattan prosecutor Abe George in his fight against Brooklyn DA Charles Hynes and former federal prosecutor Ken Thompson.

“I play a cop on television but it doesn’t mean I support stop-and-frisk or the other issues that Abe has come out against,” said co-host Holt McCallany, who currently stars on the CBS crime drama “Golden Boy.”

“I think 24 years in office is too long and it’s time for Charles Hynes to go away.”

The fund-raiser will be held at a Kips Bay jazz club owned by Noth, the fickle love interest of SATC’s Carrie Bradshaw.

“This is an office that has catered to the press and public opinion,” said George, referring to Hynes’ office.

“They keep thinking about the political consequences instead of what’s right for the case.”

Hynes campaign spokesman George Arzt slammed the event.

“The DA’s office is not about celebrities. It’s about real hard work and alternative programs and innovation,” said Arzt. “I’m afraid Mr. George has demonstrated none of that.”
