Breathtaking new video of WTC BASE jump released

This visit to the Freedom Tower wasn’t for the faint of heart.

A new video of a death-defying BASE jump off the World Trade Center shows one of the parachutists plummeting head-first down the building’s facade for a terrifying 11 seconds before pulling the ripcord during an illegal Sept. 30 jump.

James Brady, Andrew Rossig and Marko Markovich are charged with burglary, reckless endangerment and trespassing for the stunt, which has shown just how lax security has been at the 1,776-foot-tall building.

On Sept. 16, New Jersey teen Justin Casquejo also got access to the supposedly secure site.

Casquejo, 16, of Weehawken, climbed through a hole in a fence, rode the elevator to the 88th floor and snuck past a sleeping guard to make it all the way to the tower’s 104th floor and its spire.

On Tuesday, a pair of employees from news network CNN weren’t so lucky: Connor Boals, 26, and Yon Pomrenze, 35, were nabbed at the gate to Ground Zero at Vesey and Washington streets, law-enforcement sources said.

“They were trying to prove a point. I guess they thought anybody could get in,” one source said.

Both were charged with trespassing, obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct. CNN said the men weren’t at the site on orders from the cable network.
