Assistant principal fined for getting free housing from underling

A Queens assistant principal used her subordinate’s rental apartment as a free crash pad — but now she’s paying a price.

PS 140 administrator Robbyn Hasberry was fined $1,250 by the city Thursday for staying more than a week in one of her teachers’ rentals without paying a dime, officials said.

The converted garage normally brings the teacher $800 a month.

Though Hasberry said she stayed at the rental with her three kids in February because of an emergency, her behavior violates city rules because she’s the teacher’s boss.

The nature of the emergency wasn’t specified in the Conflicts of Interest Board ruling and Hasberry didn’t respond to an e-mail seeking comment.

Department of Education officials said Hasberry, who is paid $116,000 a year in salary, won’t be punished beyond the fine.
