Bruins bully threatens to ‘f—ing kill’ Canadiens player

This will do little to change the Boston Bruins’ reputation as the sneering bad boys of the NHL — and it sets up a Montreal Canadiens pest for the Rangers to keep a close eye on in the next round.

Dale Weise said he was threatened by Milan Lucic in the traditional, post-series handshake line after the Canadiens advanced past the Bruins in a Game 7 upset Wednesday night in Boston.

The video shows Lucic lingering next to Weise and mouthing off. Lucic’s exact choice words are hard to make out, but reporters who conferred with Weise afterwards seem to have narrowed it down to: “I’m going to f—ing kill you next year.”

“That’s said on the ice so it’ll stay on the ice, so if he wants to be a baby about it, he can make it public,” said Lucic, who also can be seen jawing with Montreal’s Alexei Emelin.

Weise was a Rangers draft pick in 2008 who made 10 appearances for the team in 2010-11. He was waived before the next season and picked up by the Vancouver Canucks, then coached by Alain Vigneault, who is now behind the Rangers bench. Weise was dealt to Montreal in February in exchange for Raphael Diaz (now a Ranger), and finished the regular season with a combined 16 points and 59 penalty minutes.
