The style rise of the ‘Transformers’ babe

In the past, stars of period pieces, cerebral dramas and “smart” comedies commanded the fashion court almost exclusively, using Oscar-tinged acting credentials as a passport to the most covetable designer creations. (See: Cate Blanchett, Keira Knightley, Lupita Nyong’o.)

These days, however, celebs of the summer blockbuster creed are breaking out, and none fight more to the fashion forefront than the beauties of the “Transformers” franchise.

Media-savvy brands have wised up to the marketing potential of women fronting multibillion-dollar series. Now being stylish is as requisite as being sexy for those high-wattage premieres, and these ladies can wear whatever they want.

So here is the trio of well-heeled actresses thus far chosen for the hot chick cliché, in honor of the latest installment, “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” in wide release Friday.

They may or may not get their moments on the award season trail, but this much is true: While they have the spotlight, sex is served with a side of kickass — same as the characters they play.

The newbie: Nicola Peltz

At 19, it would be easy — almost textbook — for the barely legal blonde to try the tackier side of the bombshell spectrum.

But as a slender, doe-eyed American beauty with permanent stank face, Peltz is prime high-fashion material — and she knows it. Here’s proof:

Blue punch

At the film’s Shanghai premiere on Sunday, she opted for a heavenly strapless Giambattista Valli couture gown that screamed, “Bitch, I’m expensive.”

And for the movie’s world premiere hosted last week in Hong Kong, Peltz picked a glamorous cutout Prada dress with gems and crystals that signaled her style arrival.

The professional: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

When a model was cast in 2011’s “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” it was a major win for the fashion world. Can she act? Who cares! With that face and those legs, designers couldn’t toss her clothes fast enough.

The 27-year-old Brit gets paid to look spectacular, and at every premiere for her singular film role, she absolutely did.

Huntington-Whiteley stunned in red Antonio Berardi at the NYC premiere held in Times Square. The look was sleek, sexy, strapless with a slit — what more do you need?

Dangerous beauty

Custom Burberry Prorsum in silken midnight blue was the order of the night for her turn at the film’s London premiere.

The model-slash-actress chose a silver Naeem Khan dress at the premiere in Berlin. It wasn’t strapless and didn’t have a plunging neckline. But don’t worry — the back was entirely cut out for a splash of subtle sensuality.

The legacy: Megan Fox

Between 2007’s “Transformers” and its 2009 sequel, Megan Fox was the unequivocal hot chick au courant. Boasting full lips, bedroom eyes and a brash attitude, the actress capitalized on her appeal with ensembles that were sensuous and surprisingly tasteful.

Hey, she even made an unsightly Marilyn Monroe tattoo kind of OK. For that, the vet deserves top honors.

Floor-length frills? Forget that. At the premiere in Moscow, Fox rocked a fuchsia strapless Armani Privé dress with a short hemline.

Light as a feather

Before all the colons, there was just “Transformers.” At the film’s LA premiere in 2007, Fox played a flapper in a short, refreshingly simple sequined dress with ostrich-feather detail
