Manhattan judge denies hard-core porn request from Peter Braunstein

No hard-core porn for you!

With four words — “The motion is denied” — a Manhattan judge today extinguished all hopes of a bondage-porn-filled prison term for notorious “Fire Fiend” Peter Braunstein.

Braunstein is serving an 18-year sentence for posing as a firefighter to chloroform, strip and kidnap a beautiful co-worker from his old Women’s Wear Daily job.

He had filed a pro se motion from Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora last year claiming that he really, really needed the two discs of violent, graphic porn cops seized from his home computer for evidence in his 2007 trial.

Braunstein claimed he only wanted the images for legal reasons, so that he could fight for his conviction to be overturned on grounds that he was actually “addicted” to “outre porn,” and that his defense lawyers were too prudish to make that argument at trial.

Braunstein was not brought to court, and Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Thomas Farber gave no reason for his decision.

As for the “outré” images — only soft-core porn is allowed behind bars — they remain confiscated in the custody of state prison officials, said state prison spokeswoman Linda Foglia.
