It’s the crossover episode we’ve been waiting for. Finally, “Family Guy” steps out of its comfort zone, and Peter Griffin will meet his mental match.
The first pictures of the “Family Guy”/”Simpsons” episode have been released and it looks like Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin will come to blows over whether Duff or Pawtucket is the better beer.
The official synopsis has been released, but producers are not saying any more about the landmark episode that sees the Griffins travel to Springfield, where they are greeted by Homer, who “welcomes his new ‘albino’ friends with open arms.”
“The families get along famously: Stewie (Seth MacFarlane) becomes obsessed with Bart (Nancy Cartwright) and his old-fashioned pranks; Lisa (Yeardley Smith) takes Meg (Mila Kunis) under her wing and is determined to find something — anything — at which she excels; Marge (Julie Kavner) and Lois (Alex Borstein) ditch housework for a little bonding; and Peter and Homer fight over the best beer in town — Pawtucket vs. Duff.”
The episode comes at a good time for “The Simpsons,” now in its 25th year, which just recorded its lowest-ever ratings.
