CBS, TW not even talking

It was another day in the dark yesterday for weary CBS fans who subscribe to Time Warner Cable.

The cable giant’s customers, caught in the middle of a bitter squabble over money between the company and the network, missed their CBS shows for a third straight day.

And there’s no end in sight.

“There are no negotiations taking place at this time between CBS and Time Warner Cable,” the network said yesterday.

Some premium channels, such as CBS-owned Showtime, also are dark on Time Warner.

CBS is said to be seeking $2 per month per subscriber from the New York-headquartered cable company, an increase from somewhere between the 50 cents and $1 it currently receives.

Time Warner is balking at paying increased rates, which it says forces up fees for consumers.

TWC recently instituted a modem fee for Internet customers.
