Jonah Goldberg’s “Why Hillary Clinton Is Not Inevitable” debunks the myth that she is “one of the most fascinating women of our time” (PostOpinion, Aug. 3).
Her early backing of unworkable health-care reform and her lackluster performance as a senator are part of the evidence. Surely Hillary’s comment about Benghazi — “What difference, at this point, does it make?” — is equal in callousness to Marie Antoinette’s apocryphal, “Let them eat cake.”
And how does a self-respecting woman stay married to a serial female harasser? What attracts a feminist to a male chauvinist? Has she no self-respect?
This is not love. It is the need to hang on to Bill’s political coattails and make a career for herself out of co-opting his charisma. She is one of the least fascinating, least self-respecting women of our time.
Personally, I do not want a president who would let a snake-oil salesman like Bill walk all over her. I am fascinated by her weakness, not her accomplishments. David Lawrence

Goldberg is right about Hillary being an empty pantsuit and that nothing is ever set in stone, but one can never underestimate the gullibility, stupidity and ignorance of the American voter.
They totally ignored the revelations about Obama’s connection to Rev. Jeremiah Wright in the primaries. Then, many voted for him in the general election not because they thought he was qualified, but because they thought it would be cool, or it was time to have a black president. How many will vote for Hillary just because they feel it’s time for a woman to sit in the Oval Office?Herb Eichen

Long before her dismissal of the Benghazi murders, the Clintons and Eric Holder made a reprehensible decision for clemency for 16 unrepentant Puerto Rican FALN terrorists who claimed my father Frank Connor’s murder during their 1975 lunchtime bombing of New York’s historic Fraunces Tavern.
These terrorists never requested clemency. The cynical offer was made to gain traction for Hillary in her 2000 Senate run.
Hillary is a political opportunist who, as I’ve said in the past, would put a political agenda ahead of my dad and the American people.
