SANDY, Utah — Thierry Henry scored on a shot to the lower right corner in the 57th minute to help the Red Bulls rally for a 1-1 tie with Real Salt Lake on Wednesday night.
The Red Bulls (5-6-10) have played to five draws in their last eight matches. Real Salt Lake (8-4-9) remained second in the Western Conference.
Real Salt Lake opened the scoring in the 18th minute on Joao Plata’s goal. Chris Wingert settled a blocked shot and sent a ball inside the box to Plata.
Real Salt Lake’s Chris Schuler missed on a close-range header in the 71st minute. It was blocked on the goal line by midfielder Ambroise Oyongo Bitolo.
