Smuggler tried to pass off $300K of cocaine as custard powder

Now he’s eating humble pie!

A coke smuggler tried to pass off his stash as powdered custard at JFK airport — but his dessert decoy was spoiled after cops got a whiff of the stuff, according to court documents.

Godfrey Cassius, of Georgetown, Guyana, was busted after trying to smuggle 18 pounds of coke inside plastic Champion Custard Powder bags on April 22, according to court papers filed in the US. District Court.

But his sweet disguise turned out to be rotten after officials peeked in the bags discovered “a white powdery substance with a strong chemical odor,” court papers state.

Officers tested the powered substance, which he had been hauling in a rolling black suitcase, and discovered it was cocaine.

That amount of coke is worth about $300,000 on the street

Champion Custard Powder’s catch-phrase is, “Always A Winner.”
