Judge chucks Olympian Oksana Baiul’s lawsuits against NBC

Olympic figure-skating champion Oksana Baiul’s multi-million lawsuits against NBC Universal and a skating promoter have been iced.

Manhattan federal Judge Katherine Forrest on Thursday tossed the 1994 Winter Olympic star’s suits alleging the cable network and promoter Stephen Disson falsely used her image in ads to promote two televised shows in 2011 and 2012 after she declined to perform.

“To call Baiul’s arguments as to damages speculative is indeed charitable – she offers no credible evidence whatsoever that she has suffered or will suffer any compensate damages as a result of defendant’s alleged conduct,” Forrest wrote in a 38-page opinion.

Disson’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, told The Post he believes Baiul’s “best days are behind her” and that the 1994 Olympic gold medalist probably filed the suit because “she was trying to some attention.”

“She put this guy through the ringer, but fortunately we had a judge who saw right through it,” Tacopina said.

Disson has said she approached him through an agent in mid-2011 and asked to be included in the shows, then backed out within weeks after he agreed – well before he started ads for them.

Reps for Baiul did not immediately return messages.
