An off-road toilet seat that hunters can attach to a trailer hitch was the subject of an award-winning label — cautioning against sitting on the throne while the vehicle is in motion.

Contest winner Steve Shifett, of Georgia, earned $500 for calling attention to the helpful suggestion. Second place? A bag of livestock castration rings that warned, “For animal use only.”

Organizers of the Wacky Warning Labels contest said the award is given as part of a campaign to highlight frivolous lawsuits.

A man escaped with his life when his lawnmower rolled over a live grenade.

The machine’s rotor blades set off the explosive at the home in Zagreb, where someone apparently had tossed it into the garden. The victim wasn’t badly hurt.

A bumbling German detective was arrested after robbing a bank without a mask, using his police-issue pistol — and making his getaway in an unmarked patrol car.

“He may as well have just walked into the bank, told them his name and where the police could find him afterward,” said one of his colleagues.

Cops said the thief was looking for a quick fix for his financial problems.
