Porsche speeds to New York’s Auto Row

Porsche is joining the souped-up car-dealership lineup along Auto Row, The Post has learned.

Porsche Cars North America, a US unit of the German sports car maker, has leased 711 Eleventh Ave. on the southwest corner of West 51st Street, which it will redevelop for a new showroom and repair facility, sources said.

The 175,000 square-foot building will be constructed on a site owned by sisters Barbara and Pearl Seril consisting of three adjacent properties at the address — with air rights from 614 W. 51st and 623 W. 50th streets.

The deal was inked with Porsche Financial Services which then subleased to Porsche Cars North America through 2039 with two 10-year renewals.

The building has been leased to Chrysler since 1993, but sources said they were unable to come to terms on an extension.

Alan R. Grossman of ARG Realty Consultants acted as a consultant to the sisters while Bruce Mosler, Ethan Silverstein and Mark Mandrell of Cushman & Wakefield acted as the brokerage agents for the sisters.

Brian Goldman of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented Porsche and did not respond to requests for comment. E-mails to Porsche’s Atlanta-based media reps were not returned by deadline.

Porsche sports cars, Cayenne SUVs and the Panamera, with other premium auto brands, are currently sold through Manhattan Motorcars on Eleventh Avenue at 28th Street in Chelsea. They are expected to run the glamorous new facility but could not be reached for comment over the holiday.
