“Pirates of the Caribbean” star Orlando Bloom’s timbers were shivered when Tinseltown brigands stole $500,000 in cash and jewels from his home, cops said yesterday.
The 32-year-old actor was in New York City on Wednesday evening when his Hollywood Hills mansion was hit in the massive heist, cops said.
The thief or thieves broke in through a window, and the robbery was discovered by a relative of Bloom, according to the celebrity-news site TMZ.com.
Cash, jewels and other personal items, including expensive watches, were reported missing, the site said.
Sources told TMZ that the heist did not look like “a typical burglary.” The site said its source would not say whether it was an inside job.
Bloom has starred in all three “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies, playing swashbuckling blacksmith Will Turner opposite of Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow.
