GA-GA AT THE G8: BAM’S WANDERING EYES

I cannot believe that you published an article titled “From Peep Show to Pope Show” (July 11) or that you would place a stupid photograph on the front page in attempt to deceive your readers into believing that our president was actually staring at a young girl’s rear.

Look closely at the picture. Look at how far his head is turned in proportion to where she is.

Pictures are deceiving.

Now that President Obama has been caught leering at a 17-year-old girl, I can’t wait to hear David Letterman’s comments about it.

I fully expect Letterman to engage in a series of cutting-edge jokes alluding to Obama, laughingly, as a pedophile and pervert. I expect something similar to the treatment Sarah Palin and her children received last month.

After all, we all know there is no liberal bias, and everybody loves a good joke.

I have bought and read The Post every day for 50 years. While I have not agreed with your politics, I have enjoyed the sports page and general entertainment news.

Saturday’s front page, showing our president out of context, is a deliberate slur to Obama and the office.

I can no longer tolerate this kind of behavior. You have disrespected the man, the office and our great country.

Is a picture of two grown men doing what comes naturally really newsworthy?

I always told my children, “Don’t dump on your own family; it is like dumping on yourself.”

I feel exactly that way about this picture of our country’s president.

If I did not have access to other news media, I would have actually thought your depiction of Obama staring at Mayara Tavares, the teenager from Rio de Janeiro, was true.

When you displayed obscene photographs of Eliot Spitzer’s former gal pal, I thought that things couldn’t get any worse, but this is absolutely ridiculous.

Why not just print the facts?

Move over, Bill Clinton. You have competition.

No wonder the Pope said that he’ll pray for Obama. He must read The Post, too.

I’ve always enjoyed your headlines, if not your conservative slant, but this is a complete and total lie and an insult to the president, his wife, your readers’ intelligence and that poor girl.

Could you just imagine what the press would be saying if former President George W. Bush was caught on camera ogling another woman?

It would be front- page news from coast to coast, and maybe around the world.

I realize that political figures are fair game for the tabloids, but enough is enough.

Obama is observant, so stop trying to show him in a negative manner.

Please stop publishing the picture that suggests that Obama is being provocative by looking at a teenager’s backside.

It is turning me off to The Post.
