QUEENS MAN INDICTED FOR KIDNAPPING, ABUSING DRUNK WOMAN

A Queens man was indicted today on charges he kidnapped and sexually abused a drunk woman at a Chelsea celebrity hangout.

Authorities said it wasn’t the first time Luis Zambrano had preyed upon an inebraited woman inside of Club Marquee.

“We knew he’d been there on at least one other occasion” because his DNA was found on another woman who said she’d been assaulted there, said Mark Dwyer of the Manhattan District Attorney’s office.

The earlier incident is still under investigation, said Manhattan DA Robert Morgenthau.

The one he’s been charged with took place in the early morning hours of March 22, when he spotted a 23-year-old woman who was drunk and passed out on a couch inside of the W. 27th Street club.

“Zambrano approached the woman and began kissing her,” Morgenthau said, before dragging the woman, “who was incapable of standing or walking unassisted, to a staircase.”

Once there, club video shows “he lost hold of her and she fell headfirst into a wall and crumpled on the floor,” Morgenthau said.

Undeterred, Zambrano picked her up, carried her out of the nightclub and hailed a cab to take them three blocks away to his car, the DA said.

“Nobody in the club came to her assistance,” Morgenthau said.

He drove the woman to his apartment in Queens, where he sexually assaulted her twice, authorities said. “The victim regained consciousness during the second assault and had no idea where she was or who the defendant was,” and was missing her coat and personal belongings, the DA said.

Zambrano then drove her back to Manhattan.

The creepy perv had left DNA evidence behind on the woman, who was able to lead authorities to his house, the DA said. Investigators then found his DNA matched a sample that was found another woman who said she’d been sexually assaulted at Marquee earlier this year.

Zambrano was arraigned this morning and released on $10,000 bail. His lawyer declined comment.

Morgenthau said the construction worker was convicted last year of harassing a woman.
