Neighbors comforted Tiger after crash: lawyers

Tiger Woods’ neighbors came to the aid of the golf legend as he lay semi-conscious next to his crashed SUV, the family’s lawyers said today.

“They told him to be still and stay quiet,” Bill Sharp, a lawyer for the Adams family, said at a press conference today. “They wrapped him in a blanket and put a pillow under his head.”

The found Woods on the street next to his car with facial lacerations after he crashed his SUV into a fire hydrant and a tree in an early-morning accident on Friday.

Woods’ injuries were “consistent with a car wreck and inconsistent with him being beat up,” attorney Bill Sharpe said. “The scratches on his face were consistent with someone who maybe was in a minor car accident and hit his head on the windshield. … None of his injuries looked like he was beat up by his wife.”

Sharp also said that it was one of the Adams family members that called 911, and the mother of the family, Linda, can be heard frantically asking, “What happened?” in the audio of the call.

The family issued a statement asking all media requests to be directed to Sharp and his colleague Christian Conrad.

“They’re trying to be good neighbors by responding [to the accident], and they’ve been subjected to intense media scrutiny. They would like to continue to be good neighbors.

“At this time, no members of the Adams family have nothing else to add to what they told the police,” Conrad said.
