Fantasia back to reality

Fantasia Barrino is getting back to her reality TV roots.

The third season “American Idol” winner let VH1 cameras follow her around for her own docu-series, “Fantasia For Real.” It debuts on Jan. 11.

Over the course of eight episodes, you’ll see Fantasia balancing her singing career — she’s working on recording her third album — with being a single mother to an 8-year-old and the sole moneymaker for her large family.

The Grammy-nominated singer, who came to national attention as a 19-year-old after winning “Idol” in 2004, gives fans a candid look at her life as she deals with being on the road and the aftermath of her sudden rise to fame. She also overcomes obstacles that get in the way of her becoming the best musician, mother, daughter and sister that she can be.

Fantasia caused a stir last month, when Star magazine revealed that she is dating a married man, Antwaun Cook, who left his wife and two kids to move into Fantasia’s $1.3 million home in Charlotte, NC. She’s currently sporting a tattoo of her boyfriend’s last name on her shoulder.
