Fashion Week buzz: Monday, Feb. 15

* JERSEY SNORE

Yo, wassup wit dat? Imagine inviting “Jersey Shore” star Pauly D to your fashion show, only for him to make other plans. Perry Ellis reps wouldn’t confirm the orange-hued, aspiring DJ was invited to tonight’s show, but an industry insider confirms to Buzz that he was. Alas, friends of D’s claim he’s spinning at a gig somewhere outside the US and won’t make it back in time.

* ELLE OF A MATCH

Vanessa Williams (a k a Wilhelmina Slater of “Ugly Betty”) met her real-life counterpart, Elle’s Editor-in-Chief Roberta Meyers at STYLE360 and joonbug.com’s farewell party to the show farewell party to the show, which was recently canceled. Buzz asked Williams who has the harder job, the real magazine editor or the actress playing her: “I’m just lucky that I had all the dialogue written for me. An actual editor has to take risks that set her magazine apart.” And what about the irony that this fictional magazine is now closed down, just as so many real-life magazines have recently shuttered? “It’s important to remember how great the ride was while it lasted.”

* BOOTY CALL

Calvin Klein’s front row yesterday looked more like the “Tonight Show” green room with Ryan Phillipe, Jared Leto, Chace Crawford and Kellan Lutz of “Twilight” seated next to each other. “Oh yeah, I demand, I call them up and say, ‘Listen I want this and this,’ ” Crawford joked when Buzz asked if he could get Calvin Klein to ship him free clothes at will. Like Crawford, Lutz says he’s caught Winter Olympics fever. “I was watching the luge and some skiing,” said Lutz. Perhaps unaware that a Georgian luger had died Friday, Lutz reasoned he wouldn’t attempt luging because, “I’d kill myself.”

* BRUSH-OFF

It was Valentine’s Day, but there wasn’t any love lost between two exes at the Diane von Furstenberg show. Top fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon was sitting front row when his ex-wife Kelly (the villain of “Real Housewives of New York City”) waltzed in with her handler. Gilles didn’t look up, so Kelly stopped at the end of his row greeting people as she worked her way down to him. When she finally reached his seat, Gilles stood up, quickly kissed her on both cheeks and sat down with a grimace on his face. Could it be he finds reality TV slightly unfashionable?

* MAN MAD

Alison Brie, who plays Trudy Campbell on “Mad Men” — the show about the ad biz in ’60s NYC — says there’s a real-life ad in downtown Manhattan that’s driving her crazy. “I’m so distracted because I keep seeing this billboard from Calvin Klein as I drive by on the way to my hotel. It’s with this guy and he’s super-oily,” Brie said at the Y-3 show. When asked if she actually likes the ad, Brie said, “I think so. I can’t stop looking at it every time I pass it. It’s a breath taker.”

* A ROLLING MOSS

Unlike her failed Broadway co-star Jeremy Piven, Mad Men’s Elisabeth Moss is not much for wild nights on the town. The actress stopped by the alice + olivia party at Provocateur only long enough to pose for a few photos and tell Buzz that she is pleasantly surprised when she finds depth in the fashion industry, because people expect it to be so superficial. Apparently a live performance by Mickey Avalon and a DJ set by The Misshapes wasn’t deep enough, however, because her time inside the actual party was 3 minutes and 14 seconds. (Yes, Buzz carries a stopwatch.)

* GEEKY DESIGNER

Vivienne Tam was grilled at her in-store presentation about her collaboration with HP to design “digital clutches.” A woman who claimed she “got laid off from her job as a software engineer” and is now “a fashion editor,” called Tam a “geeky designer” and wanted to know if she is working on a fashion design video game. Tam calmly replied that no such video game is in the works. The designer then shared her secret for staying calm with Buzz: “I don’t smoke or use caffeine, and I only drink clear beverages.”

* WINTOUR MAGNETISM

Normally stoic models perched upon old snowmobiles and 1980s sports cars at the Band of Outsiders’ presentation couldn’t help but turn their heads – some even smiling and motioning to one another – as Anna Wintour quickly made the rounds with a mini-entourage in tow.

* LISTEN CLOSE

“I do actually mix my own music into my DJ sets,” Sean Lennon told Buzz at a Camper store party. “I don’t think anyone really notices, it’s just fun to do.” Spinning along with his girlfriend, Charlotte Kemp Muhl, the pair keep songs by Sean’s parents in heavy rotation.

* BEAUTY’S BROTHER

American Beauty Mena Suvari knows something about winning Best Picture, and her prediction for next month: The Hurt Locker. “James Cameron is a genius, but this is a question of a great story vs. a revolution in filmmaking technology,” she told buzz in the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge. There’s one more reason for her Oscar pick: “My brother is in the Army and was just deployed to Afghanistan.”
