Thief made off with only $450 in bank-robbing ‘spree’

He’s not getting much bang for his buck – and he doesn’t want it either!

The serial robber who hit five banks in New York City on Monday requested a piddly “100” dollars from each teller during his grueling four hour crime spree, law enforcement sources told The Post.

Surveillance footage of the suspect wanted in the bank robbery spree.

He has hit four times in Manhattan and once in The Bronx — and is still on the lam while a police dragnet searches for him, sources said.

In each incident, he allegedly passed a note that read, “Give me 100,” sources said, adding that he never displayed a weapon.

Law enforcement sources said that they’ve sent the notes to a lab for fingerprint testing in the hopes of identifying the thief.

The unidentified man, in his 30s, began his spree at 1:33 p.m. at the Bank of America at 4061 Broadway in Washington Heights.

Two minutes later, he tried to rob the Capital One Bank at 620 West 181 Street.

Then, at about 2:30 p.m., he struck at a Chase Bank at 775 Columbus Avenue on the Upper West Side, cops said.

About 20 minutes later, he hit a Citibank at 4 Columbus Circle in Midtown, cops said.

He then allegedly hopped a train up to The Bronx, where he robbed a Chase Bank at 257 East Fordham Road in Bedford Park.

He received $50 from the Chase Bank on Columbus Avenue and $400 from the Chase in The Bronx, police sources said.

He left empty-handed from the three other banks, the sources said.

Detectives recovered surveillance video from one of the banks showing the suspect wearing black shorts, a red shirt and a baseball cap.
