Crash earns golfer $164 slap on wrist

Tiger Woods yesterday walked off with a $164 traffic citation after his infamous, early-morning car crash.

Oh, yeah, and four points on his driver’s license.

“The investigation has determined that Mr. Woods is at fault in the crash,” said Maj. Cindy Williams of Florida Highway Patrol.

But she quickly added that there would be no other charges in the case.

The development was all good news for the billionaire, superstar golfer, who remained holed up in seclusion with his wife, Elin, and their two young kids in the family’s manse in Windermere, Fla., outside Orlando.

Woods crashed into a fire hydrant pulling out of his driveway in the wee hours Friday, reportedly after having a blowup with his wife over his alleged affairs with other women.

One source had told TMZ that his wife came after him with a golf club and bashed his car in as he peeled off. He has only publicly praised his wife for helping him at the scene, but refused to speak otherwise, including to police.

FHP Sgt. Kim Montes added at the press conference: “There are no claims of domestic violence by any individual.”

Woods’ lawyer, Mark NeJame, told The Post yesterday: “We’re pleased with the outcome” of the police investigation. “Other than that, it’s over.”

Hours earlier, a lawyer for the Woods neighbors who rushed to the scene after hearing the crash recounted how the family came upon the golfer’s wife leaning over her hurt husband.

“She said, ‘Help us,’ ” said lawyer Bill Sharpe, who is representing the Adams family.

The lawyer said that from what the family saw, Woods’ condition was consistent with being in a car wreck “and inconsistent with him being beat up.”

“They did not witness any domestic violence, and Mr. Woods’ minor injuries are not consistent with somebody being beaten up with a 9 iron,” Sharpe said.
