Harold Ford Jr. says he won’t be bullied

Harold Ford Jr. came out swinging today at top Democrats who are trying to push him against challenging Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand in a primary — saying they’re trying to bully him and asking what they’re “afraid of.”

The tough statement from Ford spokesman Davidson Goldin came a day after The Post reported that Senate Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid called Mayor Bloomberg and asked him not to back the Tennessee transplant — the same day two mayoral advisers met with the potential candidate.
