Can HBO make an “Entourage” for girls?
Mark Wahlberg, who executive-produces the HBO comedy, is developing a similar series for HBO — following a group of four female friends as they live and love in LA.
“Entourage” centers around four buddies from Queens transplanted to Hollywood when one of them, Vincent Chase (Adrien Grenier), hits it big as a movie star.
Wahlberg is developing the new show with Stephen Levison (“Leverage“), but it won’t be as “Hollywood-centric” as “Entourage” and could deviate from that show’s concept, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
No word yet on casting, since the deal hasn’t been officially announced.
