B’klyn basement kid-rape torture

Cops are seeking security footage from near the home where two thugs are suspected of imprisoning a 14-year old girl, and raping and torturing her until she managed to escape, law enforcement sources said.

Kevin Evans, 24, and Anthony King, 24, were arrested Wednesday and charged with rape, kidnapping, and sexual misconduct. The girl was held there between April 27 and May 11.

The next night, the two men were arrested two days after she fled. In addition to being beaten, the girl was scalded with a hot substance during her captivity, police sources say.

Police have focused their attention on the basement of Evans’ home on President Street in Crown Heights, between Troy and Albany avenues.

It contains a small bedroom which police searched last night. The home, were Evans grew up with a number of foster siblings, is littered with trash and old Christmas ornaments.

“You ever read the book Lord of the Flies,” a neighbor across the street, Ivan Moore, said about the living arrangement. “That was it.”

A nearby resident said the police had asked for footage from a security camera a little ways down the block.

Evans and King were arraigned yesterday and are being held on Rikers Island, the Brooklyn district attorney’s office said.
