BuzzTorah is the website your bubbe warned you about

The Jewish people may face existential persecution at every turn — but they’re no chopped liver when it comes to bawdy jokes.

It’s said laughter is the best medicine — and for all those Jewish mothers forcing their male heirs to become doctors, there’s plenty of prescriptions of laughter to go around these days.

Enter the latest Jewish pop culture site, BuzzTorah, whose wholesome mission you can bring home to Mom: “We believe the Internet can be a strong tool capable of affecting change and spreading Jewish values,” says the site.

Inspired by BuzzFeed’s ubiquitous listicles and quizzes that dominate water cooler conversations, this Torah-for-the-masses site will bring a little levity to the 3,300-year-old book.

BuzzTorah speaks the language of Jewish liturgy and Torah, so what you remember of your Hebrew school education will be vital to being in on the joke.

And there are plenty of jokes to go around, including “9 Greatest Things to Become Kosher in the 21st Century.”

One little-known favorite: Ring Pops.

And no pop culture site is complete without celeb GIFs — hello, Jack Sparrow of “Pirates of the Caribbean” illustrating the virtues of tzedaka (charity)!

And if you don’t get at least half the answers right to the “Jerusalem: City of Gold” quiz, you’ll never get into Harvard at this rate.
