Weiner explodes at heckler’s rant

On the eve of Rosh Hashana, mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner got into a screaming match yesterday with a fellow Jew who called him “disgusting” and complained, “You’re married to an Arab.”

The former congressman — whose wife, Huma Abedin, is a Muslim — was exiting a bakery in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn when a yarmulke-clad patron loudly called Weiner a “scumbag.”

“Takes one to know one, jackass,” shot back Weiner, carrying honey cake he had just bought for the Jewish New Year’s holiday.

Turning back, Weiner confronted his tormentor.

“And you’re a perfect person? You’re my judge? What rabbi taught you that?” he shouted.

The man replied calmly, “Talk to God and figure out your problem, but stay out of the public eye.”

Weiner refused to let it go. He asked why the man felt superior to him.

“It has nothing to do with being superior,” the heckler replied.

“How do you have the authority to judge me then?” Weiner asked.

Eager to get in the last verbal blow, the man told Weiner to “think about his wife” and claimed Weiner had never done anything to help the community.

“I fought very hard for this community and delivered more than you will in your entire life,” Weiner screamed back.

“You deliver for yourself,” the man sniffed before Weiner departed.

Afterward, Weiner, who was celebrating his 49th birthday, tweeted: “In defense of me, the guy waited til I took a bite of honey cake to take a run at me.”

Weiner is polling near the bottom of the Democratic mayoral-primary pack since admitting to online relationships with at least three women since resigning from Congress in 2011 over an initial sexting scandal.

Before the bakery brawl, Weiner went on Fox 5’s “Good Day New York” and auditioned for his dream job — being a weatherman!

“I’ve always had this dream of doing weather and sports on your show,” he said.
