‘House of Thrones’ mash-up goes viral

Look out, Westeros. Frank Underwood has a new target.

A clever new “House of Cards”/“Game of Thrones” mash-up (and stealth Quiznos ad) called “House of Thrones” features celebrity impersonator Ross Marquand as the power-hungry “Cards” vice president, played on the hit Netflix series by Kevin Spacey.

In the ad, “Underwood” travels to the “GOT” Seven Kingdoms, where he takes out his competition one by one — because, as he says, “Why have one little old presidency when you can have seven entire kingdoms?”

In the three-minute parody video, Underwood gives Arya Stark an ugly haircut, unleashes his fire-breathing pet dragon “Stamper” on Daenerys — a reference to Underwood’s beetle-browed “HOC” aide played by Michael Kelly — cuts off Jamie Lannister’s other hand, pushes Jon Snow off a cliff and barrages Tyrion with short jokes.

Finally, he poisons King Joffrey.

The viral ad has already racked up more than 285,000 YouTube views since being posted on Sunday, welcome exposure for the LA-based Marquand, known for his celebrity impressions including James Gandolfini, Harrison Ford and Brad Pitt in addition to Spacey.

He even caught the attention of the Oscar-winning actor, who mentioned him in a recent Empire magazine profile.

“They asked him who does the best Kevin Spacey and he mentioned my name in the article, which was so crazy,” Marquand tells The Post. “It was a very surreal moment for me knowing that Kevin Spacey had seen my impression.”

Marquand has been doing Spacey impressions since high school — “once my voice dropped a few octaves, that helped a lot” — in various spoof videos, but he had never done Underwood’s South Carolina drawl prior to “House of Thrones.”

“That was very much a lesson in binge-watching,” he says. “I watched Season 2 of ‘House of Cards’ in almost one night to try to get the cadence and the flow of his voice.”

Marquand says playing Underwood was “really fun” and, as a huge “Game of Thrones” fan, he also got some satisfaction from taking out the sniveling boy king at the end of the video.

“I hope that Joffrey dies a miserable, painful death because he is just the most annoying little thing on the planet,” he says with a laugh.

The viral ad for Quiznos (though the brand is mentioned only once at the end) follows similar efforts on the sandwich chain’s Toasty.tv site, which has also parodied “Dancing With the Stars,” “The Real Housewives” and “Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo” as part of an effort to lure younger consumers.

“They weren’t trying to make it something that was all about Quiznos, which I think is smart, because when people beat you over the head with a message or product, it gets annoying,” Marquand says. “But something that is catchy and smart and funny that people want to share, that’s a really good way to get your content out there.”

Marquand, who also stars in a Rainn Wilson-produced YouTube comedy called “The Impression Guys,” will take on another TV drama with a Southern leading man for his next parody project.

He’s at work on a “True Detective” spoof that has him playing Matthew McConaughey’s Rust Cohle interrogating adorable kids in the style of AT&T’s wildly popular commercials (coming soon to his YouTube channel).
