HALLMARK WOOS SCHLEIFF

Henry Schleiff, the Manhattan media world fixture and former Court TV boss, is said to be close to a deal to take over management of the Hallmark Channel.

Schleiff, who left Court TV earlier this year, is likely to fill the CEO spot at the Hallmark Channel, which has been vacant since David Evans resigned the post in May, the trade publication Broadcasting & Cable reported yesterday.

Schleiff was unavailable for comment, and a spokeswoman for the Hallmark Channel declined comment.

Schleiff left Court TV after Time Warner took control of the network from Liberty Media. The two media giants had been 50-50 partners in the network.
