The Cyclones locked up a series win with their second-straight win in Batavia, thanks to a ninth-inning double by clutch hitter Sam Honeck.

Starting pitcher Darrin Gorski pitched six effective innings, and left with a 4–2 lead, but the usually unhittable Brandon Sage gave up two in the eighth.

All that did was set up Honeck’s heroics, driving in Jake Eigsti, who had singled.

The Cyclones had gotten on the board first, on an RBI single by hot-hitting Luis Rivera, who’s 6-for-14 with four RBIs over his last four games.

The Cyclones added another run in the fourth on an Alex Gregory SAC fly.

Three more runs scored in the fifth after a Justin Garber single, a Honeck single, a Rivera SAC fly, an error and a Gregory SAC fly.

Those runs proved to be vital when Sage, who is nasty against lefties, gave up a two-run dinger to righty Kyle Conley in the eighth.

The win kept the Cyclone lead over the hated Staten Island Yankees at four games.
