BEAUTY SUES OVER MISS DISS

Carrie Prejean to the Miss California USA pageant: You’re so sued.

The 22-year-old beauty queen, who lost her Miss California crown after making controversial comments against same-sex marriage, filed a legal action against the pageant yesterday, charging religious discrimination.

In the action, filed in LA Superior Court, Prejean also accused the pageant of libel, public disclosure of private facts and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

The suit, which does not specify a dollar figure, also names Executive Director Keith Lewis, former official Shanna Moakler and publicist Roger Neal.

It does not name Donald Trump, who owns the Miss USA pageant and initially stood by Prejean before firing her in June.

Pageant officials have said she got the ax because she missed several events.

But her lawyer, Charles LiMandri, said Prejean was fired because of her remarks during the Miss USA pageant in April that marriage should be between a man and a woman.

Prejean was named first runner-up in the pageant.

LiMandri said he had tried for two months to find out what events Prejean supposedly missed and couldn’t find any.

“Her title was taken for her solely be cause of her support of traditional marriage,” he said.
