How to get tickets to Yankees parade

The World Champion Yankees’ ticker-tape parade will be held tomorrow beginning at 11 a.m.

The parade will begin on Broadway at Battery Place and continue north up the Canyon of Heroes to Chambers Street. The parade will be followed by a ceremony at City Hall Plaza, at which Mayor Bloomberg will present Keys to the City to the team.

The sidewalks lining the Canyon of Heroes along Broadway from the Battery to City Hall are open to the public, and the City will set up a large screen near City Hall Park to watch the ceremony.

Only 500 tickets to the ceremony will be made available to the public.

Mayor Bloomberg said the city will hold a public ticket giveaway at 2 p.m. today through 311, nyc.gov and Twitter for the ceremony honoring the Yankees at City Hall Plaza.

“I wish there were more, but there’s physcial limitation [to the number of people that can be seated in the plaza],” said Bloomberg.

The 1 p.m. ceremony, where Bloomberg will present the Yankees with keys to the city, will follow the ticker-tape parade that begins at 11:00 AM.

The city warned that there have been reports in the past of fraudulent offers for tickets to the parade — including access to floats — and to the ceremony. There are no tickets or passes to any portion of the parade, and any such offers are fake. Ceremony tickets are not for resale. If you are aware of any tickets or passes being sold, please call 311.
